Message thanks:
like to thank the following peeps for their help:
scott(pittsburgh) for spending allot time wrenching in my little ass garage, answering tons of questions at all times of the day/night, teaching me how to extract a z engine, and bitching when i wasn't working on the z.
wolf(pittsburgh) for hooking me up with parts from his wrecked z (monzter...RIP, which was the fuel to swap mine) along with answering lots of technical ?'s. No matter what you say, he is still ok, even though he is a supra whore now.
logik(pittsburgh) for emotional support

tt.net forum and the rest of the z'ers who spent time to write faq's and share their info when someone asked.
my non-z buddies who i tricked to come over and help me in exchange for alcoholic beverages.

paul @ avalon... he rocks ... everyone should buy something from him

short story:
na->>tt swap complete...a success. i strongly recommend it to any na'er.

longer story:
i purchased a jspec (auto eng)..(i have a 5 speed) for a relatively low price. 'under 50k' miles i was quoted.
put that baby in after numerous overnight am delivery packages from courtesy( the fedex man actually started asking me how the z was coming along)..
got it all together...driver side turbo leaked, heads noisy as hell, pilot bushing didn't fit right in auto eng.

called them and they promptly sent me another eng....prepared that eng while it was in my truck, pulled the bad one, got the point to take the jspec precats off (while it was hanging in front of my car) and realized they were rusted solid....in addition a pcv change produced water out of intake along with cylinders and they were full of fluid.

called them again and requested a refund. dropped old engs off, next day picked up a us-spec 5 speed eng with 16,xxx miles on it.

put that baby in and it works great!....

mods:
underdrive pulley,pop charger,jwt ecu.
exhaust...ordering this week.

what i learned:
don't every buy an engine unless you can inspect it AND the vehicle it came from.
don't ship z engines on double pallets...allot of shit gets broken on the way(crate them).
clutch adjustment is a pain in the butt.
don't tip the rear of the tranny down when its off or you will have gear oil all over your crotch.
ic piping is hard to get (i have an extra set)
